	REPORT U8 AGE CO-ORDINATOR FOR MAR 08 MEETING

Cathy  - this is my report on the progress with the U8 Sub-Juniors since the last Committee
meeting on 08 Feb 2006

A	I attended the Registration days on Sat 04 Feb and Wed 15 Feb

B	At both Registration days the free socks had not been received from the manufacturers 
	and these will have to be distributed via the Team managers before the start of the 
	season

C	On Wed 15 Feb I was provided with the book of 103 Registrations and requested to 
	provide Team list by Sun 19 Feb

D	I spent all day Fri 17 Feb keying in the information from the registration form and 
	comparing it with the 2005 spreadsheet provided by Jim KOOPMAN

E	On Sat 18 Feb in the morning I sorted the teams into what I consider appropriate list 
	given the requests on the Registration forms

F	On Sun 19 Feb I endeavoured to printed out 2 copies of the 13 teams for the 15:00 U8
	meeting.

	Unfortunately we had severe problems with our comms line and getting the printing 
	completed in time was a problem

G	On Sun 19 Feb I arrived at the ground and placed all the lists on wall - unfortunately 
	many of the attendees objected to the fact that they had been moved listed without
	consultation.  

H	I apologised and explained that I had only received the lists on Wed 15 Feb and had to 
	provided the lists by Sun 19 Feb so had not had time to telephone of the 5 out of 13 
	nominated team managers

I	The major problems was that 50% of last years SWALLOWS (4 boys) had left the team and 
	the all girl KINGFISHERS could not find a team Manager or Coach hence the proposal to 
	re-arrange the teams to have 2 girls per team.

J	at 1730 Wed 22 Feb another meeting was arranged to review the proposed team at Kitchener
	
K	After that meeting Jim KOOPMAN & I spent until 23:00 revising the teams and preparing a
	number of phone calls to be made to Team Managers.

L	On Fri 26 Feb the revised teams were draft and e-mails were distributed notifying people
	of the revised teams distributed

M	The new revised team included 4 girls from the old Kingfishers into the new FALCONS and
	3 boys from the Old Swallows into the new FALCONS

N	At the start of the next week I received a number of e-mails whereby the new FALCONS 
	would only consider playing if they had 9/10 players and the old Swallows players would 
	not play with 4 girls in a team.

O	At On Fri 03 Mar I sent an e-mail to Jim KOOPMAN to explain 3 of the 13 teams were 
	fragile and we discussed the situation 

P	Fortunately I received 4 new Registrations by e-mail on Thu 02 Mar & Fri 03 Mar whereby 
	the FALCONS and possibly the Owls can be thriving teams

Q	At 18:39 Fri the new lists with 108 Registered players were distributed

R	However at this stage I do not know how many of the new teams are settled teams
