A MANAGEMENT SUMMARY
The Pittwater RSL Football Club Inc originally started in 1965 as two Soccer teams from Mona
Vale Youth Club that had entered a newly formed Soccer Organisation
(Ref Club History).
Pittwater RSL [Returned Serviceman's League] Club provided funds for the two Soccer Teams to
get started.
Pittwater RSL Club still provides an Annual Grant to the Football Club.
It is a Volunteer Organisation whose objectives are to provide regular soccer fixtures for
the Youth of the Pittwater Area.
The Pittwater RSL Football club has developed an excellent Web Framework to provide 1400
members in 100 teams over 20 divisions with information on venues and match reports.
This submission is to extend the Web site up to the next level to support the Local Community
and assist the Club Management, Team Managers and Coaches with the organisation of the Teams
The Objectives of the Project include:
A Raise awareness and reward players for acting Responsibly
B Assist with running of Football teams via
a List of Venues with maps
b Contacts for other players
c Roster Plan for shirt washing
d Dates for BBQ Roster
e Revenue for Pittwater RSL
C Way for local businesses to advertise their product/services
D Way for players to build up skills on computers instead of just using computers for
home-work research and/or games
B WHO IS MAKING THE SUBMISSION
The eCredits process was originally adopt by members of the Open Interchange Consortium at the
1996 Annual General Meeting.
It is used for event participation and accreditation at Electronic Information technology [EIT]
events.
One of the Special Interest Groups of the OIC is eCommunity Services which is proposing that
the eCredits process can be utilised as a way of recognition for Volunteer work and can
support the Local Community as the same time.
C WEB-PAGES TO ADVERTISE LOCAL COMMUNITY PRODUCTS/SERVICES
This proposal is:
A each team will have a number of web-pages that can advertise local community products
and services eg U7 Crows 2005
B Those pages are based on the reports that the team managers have to complete:
1 Match Results
2 Player Participation Records
3 Player Assessment Records
C Each web page can have up to 5 sponsors per page which would link to the sponsors
web-page
D The sponsors would be like the advertisers in the "Entertainment Book" offer a
discount to people who attended and/or to Pittwater RSL Soccer ref the program from
the Grand Final of the Rugby St Ives v Hornsby - a one-off game 10 Sep 2005
E The Players/Volunteers could earn eCredits that can be remunerated at the Pittwater
shops like the Entertainment Book vouchers
F The Sponsors web-pages would be rotated through the teams every 2 weeks or every 4
weeks to increase awareness of the depth of services provided in the Local Community.
D NEXT STEPS
If the Committee is in agreement that this proposal is worth further consideration then I
would suggest that a small Work-group is established to report to the next Meeting on
1 Plan to get feedback from local businesses
2 Proposed ecredits structure for Pittwater Players/Volunteers
3 Outline costs to develop robust system that can be licensed to similar organisations
